Dal with lentils and vegetables
Strict fasting does not mean hungry, especially when it comes to lentils, one of the best sources of plant-based protein. And in combination with vegetables - it is not only healthy but very tasty.
How to cook Dal with lentils and vegetables
Step 1
Pour olive oil into a frying pan, put finely chopped onions and carrots and fry for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add finely chopped garlic and chili, fry for 1 more minute.
Step 3
Add the diced eggplant and fry for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
Pour in orange lentils, spices (ground sweet paprika, turmeric, ground ginger, ground curry - only 1/4 tsp each). Pour in water to cover vegetables with lentils and cook for 15 minutes. Then season to taste, pour in the tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
