Nigiri sushi with shrimps

Sushi is one of the most popular Japanese dishes both in the Land of the Rising Sun and beyond. Sushi is nutritious and very healthy, since its main ingredients are rice, seaweed, fresh fish and seafood.
How to cook Nigiri sushi with shrimps
Step 1
In addition to eel, salmon and squid, nigiri sushi is made with tuna, herring, octopus and shrimp, less often with vegetables. Shrimps for sushi must be cooked in a special way. Wash raw shrimp, cut off heads. Thread each shrimp onto a wooden skewer, pushing it under the shell.
Step 2
Boil water in a wide saucepan, add salt. Dip the shrimp on skewers into it and cook for 7 minutes until the shrimp turn red. Remove from heat and drain water. Let the shrimp cool down.
Step 3
Peel the shrimp from the shell, leaving the tails. Place back down on a cutting board. Make an incision along the abdomen, turn over and press firmly with your fingers to the board. Put shrimp on rice.
