Pita bread
Pita is an amazing food. It's not just about its taste, but also about the "pocket" it has. It acts as a "package" for other products. You can put fresh vegetables, meat, fish, shashlik in the pocket. There are many variations of making Greek pita. We offer a fairly simple recipe, but it will require patience and culinary skills. Pita can be eaten simply as bread, or served with a first or second course, with a salad.
How to cook Pita bread
Step 1

Start preparing the pita dough. Pour hot water into a glass and dissolve salt in it. Sift flour into a separate bowl and make a hole in the center. Pour water into this hole, and then vegetable oil.
Step 2

Mix the dough first with a spoon and then, when it has cooled down a bit, with your hands. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Cover the dough with cling film or a towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Step 3

Sprinkle a little flour on the work surface (table/table) and knead the cooled dough again for 5 minutes with your hands. Divide it into 8 equal parts and form balls. Cover the balls with cling film. Roll each ball into a flat cake with a diameter of 15 cm.
Step 4

Heat a frying pan and place the flatbread in it. Fry the flatbread on each side for 4 minutes several times until the pita begins to rise.
