Cookies Hearts with jam
To fill the hearts, you can choose any jam to your taste. We chose apricot and coubnic for this cookie.
How to cook Cookies Hearts with jam
Step 1
Dip the almonds in boiling water for 3 minutes, then discard in a colander, let cool slightly. Peel the kernels from the top skin. Grind the almonds into a powder using a blender.
Step 2
Separate the protein from the yolk. Cool the oil beforehand. Mix flour with almond crumbs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.
Step 3
Add butter cut into small pieces and yolk. Knead the dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Step 4
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 0.3 cm thick layer. Cut out hearts from the dough with a special mold.
Step 5
On each whole heart, put a heart with a cut out middle, greased side down. Press lightly to stick the hearts together.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 175ºС. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Place cookies on it and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Fill half of the cooled hearts with strawberry jam, the other half with apricot jam. Sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar.
