Pie with cottage cheese and strawberries
Description
Such a cake with cottage cheese and strawberries is a real symbol of a carefree summer: it evokes positive emotions with its bright, truly unforgettable “appearance” and incomparable aroma. It is not for nothing that the berries that make up baking have at all times been associated with romance, happiness, and pleasure. Treat yourself, give moments of pleasure, especially since the preparation of our pie with cottage cheese and strawberries will not cause any particular difficulties even for a not too experienced hostess. It is best, of course, to use seasonal berries (for example, country berries - those that are straight from the twig). But in principle, good ones from the market or even from a store will do if you are sure of their quality.
Cooking
Step 1
Take the puff pastry for the pie with cottage cheese and strawberries out of the package and put it on your work table. Let it thaw completely at room temperature (this may take up to an hour).
Step 2
Heat the oven to 170°C. Roll out the dough into a layer and place in a cake pan with a diameter of 22-24 cm, making the sides so that they hang slightly. Cut off excess dough.
Step 3
Wash and dry the strawberries for the pie filling. Cut one third into slices about 3 mm thick. Place the remaining strawberries and excess dough in a bowl, add cottage cheese, brown and vanilla sugar, and eggs. Blend with an immersion blender.
Step 4
Put the resulting mass of cottage cheese and strawberries on the basis of the future pie in the form. Lift the hanging edges of the dough and slightly cover the filling. Brush with sour cream and bake for 40-45 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the pie with cottage cheese and strawberries from the oven and leave for 10 minutes in the form to cool slightly. Then carefully transfer to a large plate in which you plan to serve.
Step 6
Spread chopped strawberries nicely on top of the filling and pour over honey. On the table, a pie with cottage cheese and strawberries can be served both warm and cold.
