How to cook Apples in dough baked in the oven
Step 1
Remove the yeast-free puff pastry in which the apples will be baked from the package and put it on the desktop. Let it thaw completely at room temperature.
Step 2
Heat the oven to 200°C. Wash apples and pat dry with paper towels. Then, very carefully, with a sharp thin knife or a special notch, remove the cores with seeds from the side of the stem.
Step 3
Prepare the apple filling. Chop the peeled walnuts with a knife. Combine with honey and stir. Fill the prepared apples with the resulting filling.
Step 4
Roll out the dough into a layer no more than 2-3 mm thick. Cut into 4 squares. Place an apple with filling in the center. From the middle of each side of the pastry square, cut at a right angle to the base of the apple.
Step 5
Raise the resulting dough triangles over the apples and connect the tops. Pinch the side seams carefully. Beat the egg and brush it on the surface of the apples in the dough. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
