Easter cake with dried melon

Step 1

Sift flour and salt through a sieve. Pour warm milk into yeast, add sugar and half of the sifted flour. Stir and put in a warm place for 2 hours.

Step 2

Whip egg whites and yolks separately. Add the remaining flour, beaten yolks and whites, softened butter to the dough. Knead the dough, let it rise again.

Step 3

Add soaked raisins, finely chopped melon, chopped hazelnuts, vanilla sugar and cardamom to the dough. To stir thoroughly. Lubricate the form with vegetable oil. Lay out the dough so that the mold is half full. Leave in a warm place to let the dough rise again.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 40 minutes. Lower the temperature to 160 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes. Sprinkle with icing sugar or decorate with icing sugar.

3 yolks
3 squirrels
70 g butter
100 g dried melon
50 g raisins
50 g of hazelnuts
1 st. l. vanilla sugar
0.5 tsp ground cardamom
salt
