Peanut sauce
Ingredients
Servings 4-6- 100 g walnuts
- 200 ml low fat cream
- 100 ml heavy cream
- 2–3 tbsp. l. walnut oil
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
- honey or salt and freshly ground white pepper
Cooking
Step 1
Toast the nuts lightly in a dry frying pan, shaking and not letting them burn. Cool slightly and put in a food processor or blender. Add spices, grind.
Step 2
With the engine running, pour in the oil and both types of cream. Stop the motor as soon as the sauce is smooth.
Step 3
If you want to sweeten the sauce, add honey to taste and stir. If salty, add salt and stir. Serve with pancakes and pancakes, especially buckwheat ones.
