Sauerkraut soup

Cookinero 16 Apr 2025

Let's mentally rewind time to the 9th century. Then peasants began to grow cabbage, and this moment coincided with the appearance of the characteristic "shcha spirit", which always stood in the Russian hut. This soup was on the menu of both peasants and boyars. The only difference was that the former could rarely afford meat and rich shchi, unlike the rich. But shchi, prepared in different ways, had one feature: this soup did not get boring, even if it was eaten every day.
