According to this recipe, Druzhba porridge is prepared with two types of cereals, in a saucepan, with milk. It was very popular among Soviet students in the last century. They often started their day with it and said that "rice and millet are friends in one plate." That's where the name of this porridge comes from. In Rus', girls cooked it on Agrafena-Kupalnitsa Day. If the porridge turned out great, it meant that the girl would have good luck throughout the year. Therefore, girls tried to learn from childhood how to cook porridge from rice and millet.
How to cook Porridge "Friendship"
Step 1

Prepare the porridge. Pour the cereal into a saucepan with boiling water. Wait 2-3 minutes until the water boils again. Remove the foam. Reduce the heat and cook for 10-15 minutes. When the porridge begins to thicken, pour in the milk. Add salt and sugar. Stir. Bring to a boil, stirring. Reduce the heat to low. Add butter. Stir. When the porridge thickens, remove it from the heat. Cover. Leave for 10 minutes.
