Pavlova cake

Cookinero 19 Dec 2022

The classic Pavlova dessert is made in the form of a cake, the basis of which is meringue cakes, and the top is decorated with whipped cream, fresh fruits and berries. I cooked the cake in portions in the form of cakes, in my opinion it is more convenient.

How to cook Pavlova cake

Step 1

For the meringue, beat the whites, gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until hard peaks, at the end add starch and vinegar, the mass should be smooth and shiny.

Step 2

We spread the mass on parchment, giving the shape of a basket, you can use a spoon, you can use a pastry bag. We put in a preheated oven to 120 degrees and dry until a light blush for 50-60 minutes (it may take a different time, depending on your oven). Do not open the oven door during baking. Turn off the oven and let the baskets cool completely.

Step 3

For the cream, whip the cream, add powdered sugar to taste (note that the baskets are sweet). We fill the baskets just before serving, otherwise the meringue will get wet. Decorate with berries, pour a little berry syrup and enjoy your tea!
