Falafel from crushed peas
How to cook Falafel from crushed peas
Step 1
Throw the peas, previously soaked overnight, in a colander, leaving a little water in which they were soaked. Peel the onion, garlic and ginger, chop the onion very finely. Rinse cilantro, dry, chop. Remove seeds from chili pepper and chop finely.
Step 2
Place the peas, cilantro, garlic and ginger in a blender bowl, add the water in which the peas were soaked, and grind to a puree.
Step 3
Place the pea puree in a bowl, add the cumin, turmeric, chili, chopped onion, flour, baking powder, and couscous. Salt, pepper, mix to make a thick dough. If it is too thick, add a little water; if too thin, add flour or couscous.
Step 4
Heat up the oil in a deep frying pan. Roll the dough into medium-sized balls and fry until golden brown. Serve hot with green salad and lemon slices.
