Strudel with minced meat
One of the options for a hearty dish is strudel with minced meat and vegetables. The recipe uses lean dumpling dough, which can be replaced with ready-made puff pastry if necessary. Vegetables are prepared separately. Only minced meat is wrapped in dough, consisting of any meat - chicken, pork, beef, etc. The main thing is that it is either chilled or well defrosted, so that the dough does not get wet from excess moisture.
How to cook Strudel with minced meat
Step 1

Prepare the dough. Break the egg into a bowl with hot water, add oil. Beat well. Sift the flour into a large bowl, add salt and pour the egg with water and vegetable oil in a circular motion. Knead the dough until stiff. Roll it into a ball, put it in a bag. Put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 2

Make a meatloaf. Roll out the dough into a thin layer 5 mm thick. Spread the minced meat over the entire surface. Roll it into a roll and cut the strudel into equal pieces of 3-4 cm.
Step 3

Prepare the vegetables. Fry the onion and carrot until golden brown for 3-5 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Pour vegetable oil into the bottom of a deep saucepan. Put the potatoes in, add salt and pepper again. Then put a layer of carrots and onions. Put the meat strudels on top of the vegetables. Pour in 100 ml of water, cover and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
