Shepherd's Pie

Shepherd's pie is a British dish, a juicy meat goulash with vegetables, topped with tender mashed potatoes with a golden, baked cheese crust. This recipe will help out when you need to cook a hearty dinner for the whole family in a short period of time!
How to cook Shepherd's Pie
Step 1
Pour melted butter, warm milk, salt, spices into boiled potatoes and mash the potatoes into a puree.
Step 2
In a heated frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the onion with minced meat, sprinkle with flour, add tomato paste and pour in the broth.
Step 3
Add carrots, corn, peas to the minced meat, mix and simmer in a frying pan under a lid over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Place the filling in a baking dish, spread the mashed potatoes on top and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes. Remove the pie from the oven, sprinkle with cheese, return to the oven and continue baking until golden brown.
