Onion jam
Onion confiture was first made in France. This dish is usually served as an accompaniment to meat or poultry, along with toasted crispy baguette or bread. Onion confiture with apple also goes well with different types of cheese, such as Camembert. This recipe is also suitable for vegetarian and Lenten menus.
How to cook Onion jam
Step 1

Wrap the apple in foil and bake for 7-10 minutes.
Step 2

Meanwhile, cut the onion into half rings.
Step 3

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Place the onion in it.
Step 4

Fry the onion until it becomes fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5

Pour soy sauce and 100 ml of water into the onion.
Step 6

Chop the baked apple and add to the onion.
Step 7

Add salt to the jam.
Step 8

Pour honey into the jam and simmer for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 9

Place the jam in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 10

Transfer the jam into bowls or sauce boats and serve.
