How to cook Green pea soup

Step 1

Peel the onion, finely chop and fry in a saucepan with a thick bottom in 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil until soft, 10 to 12 minutes. Add peas and diced potatoes, simmer for 2-3 minutes. Pour in the broth, bring to a boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Pour finely chopped greens, salt, pour in wine, cook for another 1 minute. and take it off the fire. Cut the ham or bacon into thin strips and fry in the remaining oil until golden brown. Grind the soup in a blender until smooth and pass through a sieve to remove the pea skins. Ladle into bowls, top with fried ham and sprinkle with freshly ground pepper.
