Red buckwheat

Try to make buckwheat not a boring side dish, but an independent and tasty dish - bright and fragrant. You will not regret! The recipe is also suitable for those who fast.

Ingredients

Servings 4
  • buckwheat - 1 tbsp.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.
  • boiled beets - 2 pcs.
  • cilantro - 2 sprigs
  • pine nuts - 2 tbsp. l.
  • salt - to taste
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp

Cooking

Step 1

Lightly fry the finely chopped onion and garlic in vegetable oil.

Step 2

Add buckwheat and fry, stirring, for a couple more minutes. Pour 2 cups of boiling water and cook buckwheat until tender.

Step 3

Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4

Add the finished boiled beets, grated on a fine grater, lemon juice.

Step 5

Mix well and cook for 2 more minutes.

Step 6

Serve buckwheat sprinkled with pine nuts and herbs. An ideal addition to the dish can be a vegetable salad. Enjoy your meal!!!
