Quick Puff Pastry Roll with Chocolate and Nuts
The number of layers and the richness of the aroma in puff yeast dough depend on its freshness. A freshly prepared roll is especially airy and cannot even be compared with store-bought rolls. And to give a more pleasant sweet aroma, it is better to use bitter or dark chocolate. Such a roll can decorate any dinner or please unexpected guests.
How to cook Quick Puff Pastry Roll with Chocolate and Nuts
Step 1
Place chocolate bars on slightly rolled out dough, exactly in the middle. Then trim the corners of the dough to form a cross with a chocolate center.
Step 2
On the sides, make cuts in the form of strips about 2 cm wide. It is better to make them at an angle, from the chocolate to the edge of the dough. Sprinkle the chocolate with nuts.
Step 3
Fold the top and bottom edges of the dough over the chocolate and nuts, and fold the side lines into a spikelet, folding one strip over the other so that the structure does not fall apart.
Step 4
Beat the egg and brush the top of the roll with it. The dessert is almost ready. Place it in the oven preheated to 170 ℃ for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
