Cranberry sauce for pancakes

Exactly the same sauce - only with less sugar - you can cook from lingonberries or sea buckthorn

Ingredients

Servings 6
  • 300 g cranberries
  • 1 large green apple
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 st. l. Teddy bear
  • 3 art. l. butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger powder

Cooking

Step 1

Peel the apple from the peel and core, cut the pulp into cubes with a side of 1 cm. If the cranberry is frozen, put it in a colander, set it in the sink, pour over it with boiling water.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a deep saucepan, add sugar, add honey, melt the mixture so that it becomes homogeneous.

Step 3

Add apples, cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add all the spices first, and then the cranberries. Increase the heat, cover the saucepan with a lid, cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.

Step 4

If the sauce seems too thin for you, remove the lid and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Cool before serving.
