Warming punch

The recipe for a warming punch was invented back in the 17th century by English sailors who often traveled to India and, as the legend goes, were too cold on the way back in the unfamiliar northern climate. Hot punch is an alcoholic drink made from rum, lemon juice, sugar and black Indian tea. Warming punch will make even late autumn and early spring more pleasant – the hardest time of colds and slush.
How to cook Warming punch
Step 1

Prepare the punch. Pour the tea leaves into a saucepan or bowl, add lemon and sugar. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until the sugar melts. Then add the rum. Heat the punch over low heat, without bringing it to a boil. The desired temperature can be reached in about 15 minutes. Pour the hot punch into cups or mugs.
