Simple Blackcurrant Compote
Compote is a popular drink in Russia made from berries or fruits. Very often at the end of the summer season, compote is preserved for the winter in three-liter jars. This is not necessary, because the berries can simply be frozen and, when needed, compote can be cooked from them. And it is very easy to do. In this recipe, we will tell you how to make compote from blackcurrants. It will take you only 10-15 minutes to prepare. And now, the tasty and healthy drink is ready.
How to cook Simple Blackcurrant Compote
Step 1

Place frozen blackcurrants and sugar in a small saucepan. Pour clean cold water over everything. Place the saucepan on the fire.
Step 2

Stir until the sugar is completely or partially dissolved. When the water in the pan boils, reduce the heat. Cook the compote for 10 minutes on low heat.
Step 3

Remove the finished compote from the heat and cover with a lid. Let it sit for 30 minutes. If desired, wait until the compote cools completely. Pour the compote into glasses. The blackcurrant compote is ready.
