Sandwich "Air"

Cookinero 14 Nov 2022

Many children love puffed marshmallows, but it’s wrong to feed a child with just this delicacy ... I offer a delicious and healthy sandwich with chocolate paste and puffed marshmallows, and not a single child will refuse such a breakfast option! My kids make these sandwiches themselves with great pleasure.

How to cook Sandwich "Air"

Step 1

Sandwich "Air"

Lightly brown the toast bread in a toaster or pan. Apply chocolate paste on one slice (it is desirable that it be chilled), put 5-6 marshmallows on top, cover with a second slice of bread and put in the microwave for literally 5-7 seconds. The sandwich is ready!

Sandwich "Air" - FAQ About Ingredients, Baking Time and Storage

Yes! While toast bread is recommended, you can experiment with brioche, croissants, or even waffles for a sweeter twist. Just ensure the bread is sturdy enough to hold the filling.
If you don't have chocolate paste, Nutella, peanut butter, or even a thin layer of melted chocolate would work nicely. Consider using white chocolate for a different flavor profile.
Absolutely! Mini marshmallows, flavored marshmallows, or even marshmallow fluff can be used. Varying the size might impact the melting time in the microwave.
This 'Air' Sandwich is already vegetarian-friendly as it uses bread, chocolate paste, and marshmallows, which are typically vegetarian.
As the recipe heavily relies on bread and marshmallows, it's difficult to make it truly low-carb. However, you could experiment with low-carb bread alternatives, although the texture might change significantly. Unfortunately, there is no low-carb substitute for marshmallows.
Using chilled chocolate paste helps prevent over-melting. Also, microwaving for the shortest possible time (5 seconds) is crucial.
Definitely! Consider adding a sprinkle of sea salt or chopped nuts for added texture and flavor. A thin layer of jam or cookie butter could also be delicious.
This sandwich is best enjoyed immediately. Assembling it in advance will cause the bread to become soggy and the marshmallows to harden. Assemble just before serving.
