Almond sauce
Try serving familiar meat or fish dishes with almond sauce and they will sparkle with new colors. Rather limited in use, almond sauce will pleasantly surprise you. It is not difficult to make it and it will become a real lifesaver when you need to come up with something interesting on the table, but there is no time for long culinary experiments.
Ingredients
Servings 6- 3 slices of white bread
- 6 Art. l. milk
- 150g peeled almonds, preferably without the skin
- 3 garlic cloves
- 120 ml extra virgin olive oil
- juice of 1 lemon
- ground allspice on the tip of a knife
- salt
Cooking
Step 1
Cut off the crusts from the bread, pour the crumb with milk and leave for 10 minutes. Good squeeze
Step 2
Peel and chop the garlic
Step 3
Using a blender, puree the bread, almonds, garlic, butter and lemon juice.
Step 4
Season with allspice and salt to taste. Serve with grilled fish or cold fish.
