Soy meat not only does not contain cholesterol, but also helps to reduce its level in the blood. Usually soy meat is soaked in water, milk or dry wine, white or red - depending on the recipe.

How to cook Homemade soy meat roast

Step 1

1. Transfer soy meat to a bowl and pour warm boiled water over so that the meat is completely covered. Leave for 20 min. * From 50 g of dry soy meat you will get 225 g of product ready for processing. * You can also soak soy meat in milk or dry wine, white or red - depending on the recipe. 2. Peel potatoes, chop coarsely, put in a saucepan and cook covered in a small amount of lightly salted water for 5 minutes, until half cooked. 3. Peel onions and carrots, cut into cubes. Wash the peppers, cut in half, remove the core, cut into large pieces. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry onions and carrots in it for 3 minutes. Add peppers, cook 2 more minutes. 4. Transfer the swollen soy meat, along with the remaining liquid, to a clean frying pan and fry over high heat, stirring constantly, for 4 minutes, until golden brown. 5. Peel and chop the garlic. Wash the parsley, pat dry with paper towels and finely chop. Mix sour cream with garlic and herbs, season with salt and pepper to taste. * Sour cream can be replaced with soy mayonnaise or soy cream. 6. Preheat the oven to 200ºС. Put the fried soy meat in the pots first, then the potatoes and fried vegetables. Pour in the sour cream sauce. Cover the pots with foil, put in the oven and cook for 10 minutes.
