Braised cabbage with rice

A very simple dish to prepare and ingredients, but it turns out very tasty and nutritious.

How to cook Braised cabbage with rice

Step 1

Boil rice in a saucepan until tender.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the cabbage. Pour olive oil into a deep frying pan, add vegetables and simmer for 15 minutes. over low heat, stirring occasionally. You can add more water if needed to keep the vegetables from burning.

Step 3

Finely chop the garlic and add to the vegetables along with the tomato paste.

Step 4

Stew vegetables until soft, about another 10 minutes. At the end, salt, pepper and add spices.

Step 5

When serving, mix rice with stewed vegetables and sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs.
