Italian style shepherd's pie
Both adults and children will love this dish: tasty and very satisfying, which is especially important for winter.
Ingredients
Servings 4- carrots - 1 pc.
- celery root - 1 pc.
- tomatoes in their own juice - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- potatoes - 6 pcs.
- minced beef - 500 g
- olive oil - 20 ml
- butter - 20 g
- milk - 100 ml
Cooking
Step 1
Finely chop the onion, carrot and celery. Fry them in olive oil for 5-10 minutes over medium heat.
Step 2
Add minced meat to vegetables, mix and simmer for 15 minutes over medium heat.
Step 3
Add tomatoes to meat and vegetables and simmer for another 10 minutes. Remove from fire.
Step 4
Peel potatoes and boil. Remove from heat, drain water and add butter. Mash the potatoes until puree, pour in warm milk and mix.
Step 5
Take a baking dish. Lay out minced meat with vegetables. Gently spread the potatoes on top in an even layer. You can use portion molds, in which then immediately serve the dish to the table.
Step 6
Put the dish in the oven for 5-10 minutes at a temperature of 200 C.
