Pea soup with hunter's sausages
Pea soup is a hearty and tasty first course, which is one of the traditional dishes in Russian cuisine. A popular way to cook it is with smoked meats, such as hunter's sausages. How to cook Pea soup with hunter's sausages
Step 1

Pour 3.5 liters of water over the peas and cook for 40 minutes over medium heat.
Step 2

While the peas are cooking, prepare the vegetables. Dice the potatoes, onions and carrots. Finely chop the fresh parsley.
Step 3

Cut the hunting sausages into circles.
Step 4

In a frying pan heated with vegetable oil, fry the onion and carrot. Then add the hunting sausages, stir and fry for another 5 minutes.
Step 5

Add potatoes and sautéed hunting sausages to the peas. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir and cook for another 15-20 minutes. Add fresh herbs to the finished pea soup and serve.
