Cooking

Step 1

Sift flour, add a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp. l. sugar and 1 tbsp. l. cinnamon. Add egg yolks and 1/3 cup of milk there, mix thoroughly until a smooth paste forms. Pour in the remaining milk and corn oil, stir and let stand for half an hour. Peel the apples, remove the core without damaging the apples. Cut the apples into rings about 0.5 cm thick and rub with lemon juice so that they do not darken. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon. Whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt into a thick foam and mix with the dough. Heat oil in a saucepan to 180ºC. Dip each apple ring into the dough so that it is completely covered, remove with a fork, let the excess dough drain and deep fry. Fry until golden brown, turning once. Place on paper towels to drain the oil and immediately sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve warm with strong coffee.
