Cherry punch
The best wine to make cherry punch is red wine, rum, or martini. You can use fresh or frozen cherries. Any spices will do - nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, saffron, ginger, or a spice mix "for punch" or "for mulled wine." For this recipe, choose cinnamon sticks and cardamom, and use white rum as the alcoholic base.
How to cook Cherry punch
Step 1

Cook the sugar syrup. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar and spices, put on low heat until boiling. Strain the finished syrup through a sieve.
Step 2

Mash the berries and fruits. Place the cherries and sliced orange in a deep bowl and mash a little with a spoon or press.
Step 3

Make the punch. Pour strained sugar syrup over the cherry-orange puree, then add cherry juice and rum. Serve the cherry punch hot or cold with ice cubes.
