Cornmeal bread

Aromatic, delicious and such a sunny bread made from corn flour! For more brightness and more usefulness and aroma, you can add turmeric to the dough. Homemade bread is always the best solution, because then you will know exactly what is in its composition, and this is always safer and healthier. Serve such bread with hot soup, aromatic vegetable stew or for breakfast - with porridge or scrambled eggs or in the form of sandwiches with pate, cream or cottage cheese, jam, marmalade.
How to cook Cornmeal bread
Step 1

Sift wheat and corn flour into a deep bowl and mix.
Step 2

Pour warm milk into a separate deep bowl, add fresh yeast, salt, sugar and egg. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 3

Add the sifted flour mixture to the egg and milk mixture and stir.
Step 4

Knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands, sprinkle it with flour for this. Also knead softened butter into the dough.
Step 5

Grease a baking tray with butter and lay out the kneaded dough.
Step 6

Cover the dough with a towel and place in a warm place to rise for 1.5-2 hours.
Step 7

Place the risen dough in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
Step 8

Check the readiness of the bread with a toothpick - it should remain dry. Transfer the finished bread to a rack, let it rest for a while and serve, bon appetit!
