Grilled Pepper Sauce with Honeysuckle
The sauce is amazing in everything - texture, aroma, taste and color! The spiciness can be adjusted to taste by adding additional garlic or pepper, I have a delicate sweet and sour taste with aromas of garlic and smoke! The sauce is suitable for both meat and vegetables or pasta! Or simply with a piece of fragrant crispy bread!
Ingredients
- Bulgarian pepper (large, red) 2 pcs.
- tomato (medium) 2 pcs.
- honeysuckle 1/3 cup(s)
- garlic (fresh) - to taste
- green onion 1 bunch(s)
- dill 1 bunch(s)
- spices (garlic, parsley, oregano, juniper berry, white pepper, black pepper) 1 tsp.
- salt - to taste
- olive oil 1 tsp
Cooking
Step 1
Free the peppers from the seeds, cut into 4 parts, cut the pulp at the stalk crosswise at the tomato (this is done so that the tomato does not burst at the bottom during frying and does not lose its juice).
Step 2
Fry the pepper and tomato until soft on the grill or on a baking sheet on the coals, do not turn the tomato, and turn the peppers 1 time.
Step 3
Cool the prepared vegetables and remove the peel from them.
Step 4
Transfer to a deep container, add honeysuckle.
Step 5
Puree until smooth. Add spices, oil and other finely chopped ingredients (garlic can be used through a garlic crusher), salt or increase spiciness if necessary. Mix everything and chill the sauce in the refrigerator.
Step 6
Serve with meat, vegetables, fish or just on bread!
