Lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice
Lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice are a real lifesaver for a modern housewife who works hard, but at the same time wants to remain a loving wife and a good mother. This time-tested dish has several important advantages: it is easy to prepare, satisfying, inexpensive and, of course, delicious. And lazy cabbage rolls are able to instill in the younger generation a love for vegetables and meat (alas, children often do not favor these products in their pure form). In general, moms will appreciate the recipe! By the way, if children don't really like garlic, give it up, making the taste of the sauce more expressive due to other "additives" - for example, chopped parsley.
How to cook Lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice
Step 1

Prepare rice for lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and season with a little salt. Add rice and cook covered over low heat for 10 minutes. Drain on a sieve and let cool.
Step 2

Remove the top leaves from the head of cabbage (you won't need them). Then separate 2-3 large leaves and set aside. Finely chop the rest of the cabbage, then cut across into small cubes. Place in a colander and pour over boiling water.
Step 3

Grease a lazy cabbage roll approximately 20x30 cm in size with 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Arrange the previously set aside cabbage leaves and salt to taste.
Step 4

Peel the onion and garlic, then chop. In a skillet, heat 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Add the onion and garlic and sauté over low heat for 7 minutes. Let cool.
Step 5

Add onion with garlic, rice, cabbage, egg and yolks to minced meat. Salt and pepper to taste. From the resulting mass form long cutlets (stuffed cabbage) and roll in breadcrumbs.
Step 6

In a large frying pan, heat the remaining vegetable oil and fry the cooked cabbage rolls on all sides until golden brown. Lay them out on the cabbage leaves.
Step 7

Prepare a sauce for lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice. To do this, crush the garlic cloves with the flat side of a knife and then finely chop. In a small bowl, combine sour cream, cream and tomato sauce. Add garlic, salt and pepper.
Step 8

Heat the oven to 180°C. Pour the stuffed cabbage in the form with the resulting tomato-sour cream sauce. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes.
