Americano, or American-style coffee, was invented not in the United States of America, but in Italy. And this important event for coffee lovers took place during the Second World War. According to historians, the Italians were encouraged to develop the recipe by the Americans who were in the country at that time.

Make strong coffee. Pour ground coffee into the Turk and heat over low heat. Separately, boil 45 ml of water. Pour the liquid over the coffee in the Turk and set it to minimum heat. When foam forms on the surface, remove the container from the stove and stir the contents. Then return to the heat and bring the espresso to a boil.

Make an Americano. Pour the brewed coffee into a mug. Boil the remaining water. Pour the boiling water over the espresso.
