Pie with figs and pears on yeast dough with cornmeal

This pie is also very easy to prepare, so you should not be afraid of it even despite the yeast dough. Fresh figs, out of season, can be replaced with any other fruit.

Ingredients

  • 2 large pears, cut into slices
  • 5-6 pcs. fresh figs, cut into slices
  • 1.5 cups cornmeal
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 5 g dry yeast
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 1 small egg
  • 1 cup natural yogurt

Cooking

Step 1

Knead the dough from the indicated ingredients, cover with a towel, put in a warm place. Keep in mind that the dough is relatively liquid.

Step 2

As it rises for the first time (after about an hour), punch down. Let rise again (50 minutes at 25 degrees) and again crush and transfer to a pre-oiled and lightly floured form. Let rise a third time under the same conditions. Decorate with fruit.

Step 3

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until done (about 35-40 minutes). Check with a toothpick.
