Young zucchini gratin, ham and smoked cheese
Gratin - the same casserole, laid out in layers. Classic gratin is made from potatoes, but it turns out more tender from zucchini. It can be served for lunch or dinner as an independent dish or as a side dish for fish or baked meat.
How to cook Young zucchini gratin, ham and smoked cheese
Step 1
Using a paring knife or mandolin grater, cut the zucchini or zucchini lengthwise into long slices. Spray them with 2 tbsp. l. olive oil, pepper.
Step 2
Cut the ham or prosciutto and smoked cheese into large pieces.
Step 3
Cut the garlic cloves into 2-4 parts and fry in 2-3 tbsp. l. olive oil, 1 min. Add zucchini and fry them over medium heat, 2-3 minutes, salt.
Step 4
Grease a small heat-resistant form with olive oil and lay out a third of the zucchini, twisting the strips crosswise. Top with half the ham and half the smoked cheese. Then again zucchini, ham and cheese. The last layer is a "lattice" of zucchini.
Step 5
Finely chop the pistachios and sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Also top with grated parmesan and ground thyme. Drizzle with olive oil and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes. plus 2 min. under the grill Serve the gratin warm.
