Rhubarb patties

The rhubarb pies are great too. They can be made in different shapes and even from 10-12 pies you can make one large combined rhubarb pie.
How to cook Rhubarb patties
Step 1
For the dough, add sugar and an egg beaten until smooth with salt in milk at room temperature. Stir until smooth.
Step 2
Grind yeast with flour. Mix in milk mixture, stirring constantly. Stir until smooth. Add softened butter and knead the dough. Leave it to rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Punch down quickly and let rise again, 30 minutes. Punch down again, divide the dough into 15 pieces of equal weight. Put them on the table, cover with a towel, 15 minutes.
Step 3
Cut the rhubarb into pieces 2-3 cm long. Melt the butter and heat the rhubarb on medium, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes. Add sugar, stir and heat for another 3 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool slightly, 5 min.
Step 4
Roll out a cake from each piece. Put the filling on it and pinch the edges carefully. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down. Lubricate the pies with beaten egg yolk until smooth. Bake in the oven at 180-200°C for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
