Description

Of all the varieties of lentils, red or yellow lentils are most suitable for this dish - they do not have a skin.

Cooking

Step 1

1. Rinse the lentils several times and boil until tender in boiling salted water. Drain remaining liquid, set aside. Grind the lentils in a blender or rub through a sieve. Add flour, tomato paste, egg to puree. Knead the dough until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. 2. Form neat balls of the same size from the resulting mass, put them on a floured board. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan or frying pan with high sides. Fry the lentil balls until golden brown. 4. Prepare the sauce. Wash the greens well and chop. Cut the pepper into small cubes, after removing the seeds and stalk. Mix greens, pepper, curry powder, cumin and yogurt. Pour into a bowl and serve with lentil balls.
