On a dry preheated grill pan, I spread the pieces of meat and pumpkin disks, fry on both sides. Do not overdry the meat - remove from heat with a medium degree of roasting, transfer to a hot plate and cover with foil so that the meat "ripens" for 10-15 minutes. Transfer the pumpkin to a plate.

Step 6

Peppers, tomatoes are well greased with vegetable oil with a brush, sprinkle onions with oil, fry in a pan on both sides for 3-5 minutes (I determine the softness of vegetables according to my own taste!). I spread a disk of pumpkin on a plate, meat and grilled vegetables on top, serve hot!

Pumpkin steak with filet mignon - FAQ About Ingredients, Baking Time and Storage

Yes, beef filet mignon works perfectly as a substitute for pork fillet, offering a richer flavor. Adjust cooking time slightly as beef may cook faster depending on thickness.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a pan or microwave to avoid drying out the meat.
Replace the pork with thick slices of portobello mushrooms or eggplant. Marinate them similarly and grill until tender for a hearty vegetarian option.
You can prep the vegetables and marinate the meat ahead, but cook just before serving for the best texture and flavor.
A light arugula salad, mashed sweet potatoes, or crusty bread complement the dish. A yogurt-based dip also balances the smoky flavors.
Freezing isn't recommended as the pumpkin may become mushy upon thawing. The meat can be frozen separately for up to 1 month.
Skip the pumpkin discs and serve the grilled meat and veggies over cauliflower rice or a bed of leafy greens for a keto-friendly version.
Reheat meat gently in a covered pan with a splash of broth or water over low heat. Microwave in short intervals with a damp paper towel covering it.
