Croutons with plums and apricots
I found the recipe for these amazing toasts in a 1968 French Cooking book and it's so easy that even a child can handle it! So delicious that you won't be able to stop! Just try!
How to cook Croutons with plums and apricots
Step 1
Grease slices of bread on one side with butter, put 2-4 halves of pitted plums, core up.
Step 2
Lay the croutons on a baking sheet lined with parchment, cover with a second sheet of parchment on top. Put for 30 minutes in a well-heated oven to 190C on an average level. The top sheet of paper can be removed 5 minutes before the end of cooking.
Step 3
The croutons will brown and crisp, and the plums will be surrounded by syrup. When serving, sprinkle with sugar crystals or powdered sugar, put a scoop of ice cream on top! Enjoy your meal!
