Fig Peach Jam with Lemon and Pink Pepper

Delicious, fragrant jam with spicy notes can be prepared in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

Servings 2 liters
  • fig peach 1.3 kg
  • 2 lemons
  • ground cardamom 0.5 tsp
  • pink peppercorns 20 pcs.
  • sugar 1.3 kg
  • cinnamon stick 1 pc.
  • sprigs of mint 2 pcs.
  • water 80 ml

Cooking

Step 1

Pour boiling water over the peaches for a couple of minutes, then pour over with cold water.

Step 2

Remove skin.

Step 3

Remove the stone, cut the flesh into pieces. Add the zest of two lemons, removed with a vegetable peeler.

Step 4

Transfer to a multicooker bowl, add juice squeezed from lemons.

Step 5

Then pink pepper.

Step 6

Cardamom and cinnamon, sugar and water.

Step 7

Stir, let stand for 10-15 minutes.

Step 8

Add whole sprigs of mint. Close the lid and cook the jam in the "Extinguishing" mode for 1 hour 45 minutes, in a slow cooker with high power, 1.5 hours is enough.

Step 9

The jam is ready, the pieces of peaches have become transparent, honey-colored. Take out the mint sprigs and discard.

Step 10

Remove the cinnamon stick as well. Pour the jam into sterilized jars. Close with lids. The yield of jam is about 2 liters.
