Apple juice at home
Prepare apple juice at home, pour it into jars, roll it up, and then in the cold season you will always have a tasty and healthy drink at hand. What varieties are best to use? Preferably sweet, as we intentionally do not add sugar to the juice. Ideally, it would be good to make juice from seasonal ones: they are more fragrant. If you have a rich harvest of apples in your country house, of course, take them! The juicing process is quite simple and not too long. But you should definitely pay attention to the thorough sterilization of cans and lids, because the safety of the drink and its quality directly depend on this.
Ingredients
Servings 5- apples - 3 kg
Cooking
Step 1
Before proceeding with the process itself, prepare jars and lids for juice. They must be thoroughly washed and sterilized in any way convenient for you (hot steam, in the oven or in the microwave).
Step 2
Turn the prepared jars upside down on a clean towel. Lay the sterilized lids on the other. Cover with clean gauze and let dry completely.
Step 3
Wash the apples thoroughly. Then cut each into quarters and remove the cores with seeds. Squeeze out the juice from the apples, best with a juicer.
Step 4
Strain freshly squeezed apple juice into a saucepan through cheesecloth folded in half. Put on fire and heat up to 75-80°C. Strain carefully through a thick cloth.
Step 5
Bring apple juice back to a boil. Boil for about three minutes and immediately pour into previously prepared jars. Seal and let cool. Store in a dark cool place.
