Puff pastry pie with apricots and almonds

How to cook Puff pastry pie with apricots and almonds

Step 1

Cut apricots in half, remove pits. To prepare almond cream, grind 120 g of butter in a bowl, add 25 g of flour, ground almonds, sugar and mix. Add the eggs one by one, then pour in the rum and 3 tbsp. l. honey. Preheat the oven to 200ºС. Sprinkle the baking sheet with flour. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm, cut into 2 parts 25 cm long and 14 cm wide. Lay the layers of dough on a baking sheet, grease with a thin layer of almond cream. Place the apricot halves on top, convex side down. Put whole almonds into the apricots instead of the pits. Sprinkle apricots with finely chopped butter. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes until pastry is browned. Remove from oven and place pies on a serving platter. Pour over the rest of the warmed honey, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve hot or cold.
