Pea soup with smoked pork cheek

Description
Without pea soup, the life of an Estonian worker is impossible. Without saving on peas, it must be cooked so that the next day - already cold - it can practically be cut into pieces with a knife.
Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Onions, carrots and 200 g of pork cut into approximately the same small cubes. Salt. Fry in a pan in vegetable oil, 2-3 minutes.
Step 2
Wash the peas 4 times. Add to vegetables and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in 1.2 liters of drinking hot water, add bay leaves and cook on low heat for 3 hours.
Step 4
Before serving, cut the remaining pork into medium pieces and fry in a dry frying pan. Serve with soup.
