How to cook Easter cake according to grandma's recipe

Step 1

I'm preparing the steam. Mix yeast, salt, half sugar and warm milk. Add 2 tbsp. l flour. mix and leave in a warm place for 25-30 minutes.

Step 2

Beat the eggs with the remaining sugar until fluffy. Add the mixture to the risen dough. Stir, gradually add flour. Add melted butter and mix well again. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Punch down the risen dough, add candied fruits, mix and leave to rise again.

Step 4

Divide the dough into pieces and fill in the baking dish. Let the dough rise again and send it to the oven.

Step 5

We bake Easter cakes for 23-30 minutes at 180 C.

Step 6

To prepare the glaze, mix powdered sugar and water. We decorate the cake with icing.
