Poppy cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 3-4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3-4 century l. poppy
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • powdered sugar for serving

Cooking

Step 1

Beat butter with sugar. Continuing to beat, add the yolks, grated lemon zest, one at a time.

Step 2

Sift flour with baking powder. Alternately add flour, poppy seeds and milk to the egg-butter mixture, knead each time until smooth.

Step 3

Separately beat egg whites into foam. Gradually add them to the dough.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 180'C. Put the dough into greased molds and bake for about 40 minutes. Cool the finished cupcakes, remove from the molds and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
