Oriental hibiscus tea
Cold or hot, spicy hibiscus is just a fabulous drink. Such tea could well indulge her Shah Scheherazade.
Ingredients
Servings 1- 1.5 tsp hibiscus petals
- 1 Art. l. Sahara
- 250 ml bottled water
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 buds of cloves
- 2 allspice peas
- 1 box of cardamom
- small piece of dried ginger
Cooking
Step 1
Pour bottled water into a saucepan, add a piece of ginger, crushed with a hammer, and whole spices (cardamom and allspice can be lightly crushed).
Step 2
Pour sugar and hibiscus, bring to a boil over low heat, simmer for 10-15 minutes. Can be served cold and hot.
