Creamy five-grain porridge

Ingredients

Servings 3
  • cereal flakes (a mixture of 5 cereals) - 1 stack.
  • milk - 2 cups.
  • cane sugar - 100 g
  • water - 100 g
  • cream (hot) - 30 ml
  • butter - 30 g
  • berry (to taste) - 1 handful.
  • salt (to taste)
  • ice cream - 100 g

Cooking

Step 1

To prepare caramel syrup, pour fine sugar with hot water, stir once until sugar dissolves and place in a saucepan with a thick bottom over medium heat. Boil the syrup down to a soft ball test and a pleasant golden-brown color. Add hot cream, butter, mix and bring to a boil (at this stage, the formation of a "caramel lump" is possible, with stirring it will dissolve completely!). Cool the syrup to a warm state, store in the refrigerator.

Step 2

You can use any cereal of your choice to make porridge, this recipe uses a mixture of instant 5 cereal cereals. Flakes can be poured with hot milk, or you can bring to a boil, mix and leave under the lid for a few minutes. With the amount of milk, you can adjust the density of the porridge according to your taste.

Step 3

To give the porridge a rich creamy taste, you can add a scoop of creamy ice cream. Put the finished hot porridge on a dish, put a scoop of ice cream, berries on top and pour over the caramel sauce.
