Puff rolls with chocolate
How to cook Puff rolls with chocolate
Step 1
1. Defrost the dough at room temperature, roll out to a thickness of 2-3 mm (roll out puff pastry in one direction). Cut each sheet into 12 equal rectangles. 2. Beat the egg with a whisk with a tablespoon of water. Using a brush, gently smear each rectangle with the resulting mixture. In this case, the egg should not fall on the sides of the dough (otherwise the rolls will not rise during baking). Place a small piece of chocolate on each rectangle. 3. Roll the pieces of dough with chocolate into rolls of the same size, brush with egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 15 minutes, being careful not to burn the sugar. TIP You can sprinkle the chocolate with a little grated orange zest. This will give the cake an unusual citrus flavor.
