Gurian cabbage
Ingredients
Servings 12-15 servings- wine vinegar - 2 tbsp. l.
- salt - 1.5 tbsp. l.
- 3 kg white cabbage
- 1 liter of water
- 1 st. l. coriander seed
- sugar - 3 tbsp.
- 10 cloves
- 500 g beets
- ground black pepper
Cooking
Step 1
Peel the cabbage from coarse top leaves, rinse with water and cut into 6-8 parts without cutting the stalk. Wash the beets, peel and cut into thin circles.
Step 2
Wash the jar thoroughly, dry it with a clean towel and sterilize in a microwave oven or over an open fire for 1 minute. Put cabbage and beets in layers in a jar.
Step 3
Put salt, sugar, vinegar, coriander, pepper and cloves in a pot of water. Bring to a boil, pour cabbage with marinade. Put under oppression for 5 days. Then store in a cool dark place.
