Potato roll in the oven
The constant ingredient in potato roll is potato. Everything else is a filling that you can experiment with! Today's step-by-step recipe includes smoked chicken breast. Choose smoked-boiled breast, not boiled-smoked - it is healthier. It is better to boil the beans yourself, as canned beans can make the dish too salty. To prevent the potato roll from falling apart in the oven and to keep its shape well, cheese is used in the preparation. It melts in the oven and holds the layers of the roll. Use hard cheeses.
How to cook Potato roll in the oven
Step 1

Prepare the potato base for the roll. To do this, chop the peeled potatoes coarsely, cover with water completely and add salt. Boil the potatoes until done for about 20-25 minutes. Mash them, add a raw egg. Season with butter and mix.
Step 2

Boil 3 chicken eggs hard, cool and peel.
Step 3

Cut smoked chicken breast into thin strips and fry in vegetable oil for 5 minutes. Add the fried meat to the puree.
Step 4

Add boiled red beans to the mashed potatoes with meat. Stir.
Step 5

Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 6

Assemble the roll. To do this, place most of the puree with the filling on parchment, sprinkle with grated cheese and make a depression for the eggs. Place the boiled eggs and cover with the rest of the mashed potatoes.
Step 7

Cover the ingredients with parchment and form a roll. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 160 °C. Remove the top part of the parchment and continue baking the roll for another 10 minutes at 180 °C.
Step 8

Before serving, the finished roll should cool down a little. Cut it into portions. The cuts should be made in such a way that each piece contains half a boiled egg.
